Key Points for Routine Maintenance of the Pump Head

Routine maintenance of the pump head is crucial for extending its service life and ensuring stable operation; this process centers on three key pillars: cleaning, lubrication, and inspection.

First is regular cleaning: weekly removal of dust and debris from the pump head's exterior prevents contaminants from entering internal components. Additionally, the pump head should be disassembled monthly to clean accumulated scale and debris from the internal cavity, impeller, or rotor, thereby preventing blockages in fluid channels and maintaining pumping efficiency.

Second is lubrication maintenance: every 3 to 6 months, inspect the internal lubrication points of the pump head and apply specialized lubricating oil or grease. This ensures that moving parts-such as bearings and rotors-remain well-lubricated, thereby minimizing frictional wear and preventing component damage caused by overheating. If the lubricating oil shows signs of deterioration or turbidity, it must be replaced with fresh oil immediately.

Third is periodic inspection: conduct weekly checks on the pump head's operational status to identify any anomalies, such as unusual noises, vibrations, or fluid leaks. Monthly inspections should focus on the condition of seals and interface bolts to ensure tight sealing and secure fastening. Furthermore, every six months, inspect the internal components for signs of wear; address any wear promptly to prevent minor issues from escalating into major malfunctions. Finally, during periods of prolonged inactivity, the fluid within the internal cavity should be drained and the unit treated with appropriate dust-proofing and moisture-proofing measures.
